Description:
As the significance of the concept of sustainability as well as service excellence continues, banks are under growing pressure to integrate green management practices into their organizational systems while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and competitive performance. The current study explores green organizational excellence through three strategies (green training, green empowerment, as well as green motivation) and how these strategies affect the quality of banking services. The research population was comprised of employees of four commercial banks in Oman (Oman Arab Bank, National Bank of Oman, Bank Dhofar, and Bank Muscat). A convenient sample of these employees of these banks was obtained and data was gathered through an electronic questionnaire to 400 employees and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) using WarpPLS software. The results show that the quality of banking services is positively impacted by green training, green empowerment, and green motivation strategies. These strategies enhance employee skills, responsiveness, proactivity, and customer-focused service provision, which results in increased reliability of their services and customer satisfaction. This research paper adds to the literature by connecting Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices to the quality of banking services and also offers empirical data of the Omani banking industry. It also provides the practical implications to bank managers who would want to achieve sustainable competitive advantage by being green in their organizational excellence.
