Using Fuzzy Cognitive Map approach to model the casual relationships in stakeholder management at companies

Publication Name: 5th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2014 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-23

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 121-124

Description:

The aim of this paper is to investigate the operation of a Stakeholder Relationship Management System (SRMS) as a method for business management and project support by fuzzy approach. The criteria defined in connection with the SRMS will be modelled by using the Fuzzy Cognitive Map (FCM) approach in order to define the causality and weights of interconnections between the factors and to support decision making in that way.

Jung- Kerényi - Pauli and the cognitive individuation Part III: A case study for the cognitive individuation

Publication Name: 5th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2014 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-23

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 647-655

Description:

In the third and final part of the paper we intend to show a 'case study' in the C.G. Jung's cognitive individuation process where Jung himself is the 'undetached observer'. His individuation experience can be a part of the cognitive individuation, in the sense that on the basis of the possible integration of the contents deriving hypothetically from the collective unconscious, along with the acausal synchronistic phenomena associated with the coherent meaning patterns can be identified.

The 'three hidden pillars of the world': On the unconscious synchronistic 'cognitive cooperation' of C.G. Jung, W. Pauli and C. Kerényi Part I: From the duo into a trio

Publication Name: 5th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2014 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-23

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 605-616

Description:

The paper discusses the Jung-Pauli mainly unconscious 'collaboration', where the synchronistic background can be highlighted only by Carl Kerényi's 'involvement', that is by the broadening the duo into a trio. The main theme is the interplay of the conscious and the unconscious and one of the main patterns of the 'especial communication' is based on the 'patterns' of the 'Eleusinian Mysteries', on the archetypal image of Mother and Daughter or on its cognition and exploration as a 'dynamic hermeneutical system'. The identification of the conscious and unconscious 'cognitive network' of the 'three hidden pillars', (Jung, Pauli and Kerényi) results an unconscious acausal synchronistic artifact too.

Outlines of a framework for progressive representation-bridging CogInfoCom channels

Publication Name: 5th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2014 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-23

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 321-326

Description:

In the context of the development of engineering systems, communication is often interpreted as a behavior that is planned for and implemented a priori, with a concrete use case in mind. In contrast, the natural world follows different patterns: function emerges through evolution, and communication emerges through a process known as (signal) ritualization. Based on these differences, the concept of communication used in engineering would be worth broadening, in an effort to develop systems capable of exhibiting spontaneous communicative behaviors that evolve and develop into patterns through a history of interactions. In this paper, the concept of progressive CogInfoCom channels is proposed along with a generic framework for their implementation.

Parameter computation of the hand model in virtual grasping

Publication Name: 5th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2014 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-23

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 173-177

Description:

The aim of this paper is to identify the number of parameters of a hand model which can be computed during virtual grasping. The fingers of the user are tracked with various methods (position sensors and bending sensors) and the measured data is used to estimate the unknown parameter of the hand. An articulated hand model is constructed based on the assumption that the measured data is corrupted by noise and some of the hand's physical parameters are known. Virtual grasping and the parametric hand model are important, especially for force rendering in haptic feedback computation and to produce visually realistic results in hand-artifact interaction.

Jung- Kerényi - Pauli and the cognitive individuation Part I: Laurens van der Post and the three hidden pillars of the world

Publication Name: 5th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2014 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-23

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 629-635

Description:

This part of the paper on the basis of C.G. Jung's 'Personality and Psychological Types' discusses the problems of a more differentiated system structure and dynamic process, outlining Jung's cognitive ('info-communicative') 'individuation process' suggested by W. Pauli in a partly conscious and partly unconscious cooperation with Jung together, on a possible basis of the dynamic processes' of the mythologems described by Kerényi in a 'system-theoretical manner', taking into account the modern 'control paradigms', as well.

Interactive training and modeling environment for considering pallet setup features in storage location assignment of order picking zone

Publication Name: 10th France Japan Congress 8th Europe Asia Congress on Mecatronics Mecatronics 2014

Publication Date: 2014-01-22

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 64-69

Description:

Order picking is the most labor-intensive and costly activities in many warehouses by consuming ca. 60 % of the total operating expenses. Order picking development strategies mostly concentrate on warehouse layout, storage assignment policy, routing, zoning and on batching methods, while the physical parameters of the products - which are hardly ever taken into account - do also have a significant impact on the processes. Researchers of the pallet-loading problem could provide a wider horizon on considerable parameters, but their results are rarely implemented into order picking processes. In order to design a successful and optimal order picking system, considering all influential parameters is inevitable, since all of them are strongly connected to each other. This paper introduces an interactive training and modeling tool, which allows us to model, test, analyze and to evaluate order picking algorithms by taking numerous influencing factors into consideration. We describe an application of the simulation environment designed for highlighting the importance of physical product parameters in order picking performance.

Plastic limit analysis of lateral piles for uncertain conditions

No authors available

Publication Name: Civil-Comp Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-01

Volume: 106

Issue:

Page Range: Unknown

Description:

In the study, presented in this paper, a general approach to the reliability based limit analysis of laterally loaded piles is presented. In engineering practice uncertainties play a very important role. The aim of this study is to evaluate the lateral load capacity of a long pile when plastic limit analysis is considered. In addition to the plastic limit analysis to control the plastic behaviour of the structure, a bound on the complementary strain energy of the residual forces is also applied. This bound has a significant effect for the load parameter. The solution to reliability-based problems is obtained by a computer program which is governed by the reliability index calculation.

Definition and examination of waterway capacity

Publication Name: International Conference on Industrial Logistics, ICIL 2014 - Conference Proceedings

Publication Date: 2014-01-01

Page Range: 143-149

Description:

Hungary - situating in the centre of the continent - is one of the most loaded transit country in Europe. There are many TEN-T corridors crossing the country. The external cost coming from the heavy road transport is very high. On the other hand there are other eco-friendly transport modes available like railway or inland navigation. In the general approach navigation is an untrustworthy technology and has uncertain capacity. The present study tries to change this opinion bringing new turn of mind. There are more way to define the waterway capacity. Because of the dynamic hydrological changes the cross-section has no stability, like road or railway cross-section. The paper shows these differences and deals with ,theoretical and planned capacity ,capacity factors ,flexibility analysis ,question of measure units ,time factor.
