Solar park at the water supplier

Publication Name: Pollack Periodica

Publication Date: 2025-01-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: Unknown

Description:

The experience proves that solar power installations worldwide are growing rapidly. Renewable energy sources other one as solar energy has the potential to reduce the ecological footprint. The converter that utilizes renewable energy technologies and methods are constantly evolving with their spread, purchasing goods are becoming more and more favorable. In this study the measurement of the time period March 1-31 is presented at a waterworks. During the measurement, hourly recordings were taken. During the study, load power, generated power, grid power, specific electricity consumption, electricity consumed distribution, and the energy cost were determined.

Assisting the passage of heavy vehicles, increasing traffic safety designing traffic lights and urban lighting in a smart city

Publication Name: International Journal of Heavy Vehicle Systems

Publication Date: 2024-01-01

Volume: 31

Issue: 4

Page Range: 562-578

Description:

Congestions caused by traffic bottlenecks or accidents have become commonplace. The consequences are delays, as well as environmental, health and economic damage. One of the solutions to the problem is to expand transport infrastructures and to apply and develop advanced control systems, as well as to create a public lighting network for new traffic routes and pavements. The capacity of the road section examined in this study is inadequate during peak hours, and significant queues are formed. Turning in a wide angle from the secondary direction to the left, especially with heavy vehicles is difficult and involves a risk of accidents. Due to heavy traffic, the intersection is to be controlled by traffic lights. In this study, the implementation of a traffic-engineering plan of a junction situated in Győr is presented with phase-timing plans. In the second part of the study, the results of measurements are described.

Integrated Smart System for the Coordination of Traffic Light Traffic Management and Intelligent Public Lighting in Hungary

Publication Name: Periodica Polytechnica Transportation Engineering

Publication Date: 2023-01-01

Volume: 51

Issue: 1

Page Range: 49-56

Description:

In our study, the operation of a smart system in current operation and the implementation plan of traffic management by traffic lights of a junction are presented. Public lighting has a major effect on the efficacy of cities and the well-being and safety of their inhabitants. The energy consumed for public lighting entails significant costs for the urban management. In our constantly evolving world, there is an ever-growing demand for lighting, leading to the increase in expenses, as well. Smart cities are dedicated to apply the most energy-efficient solution in order to decrease expenses in respect of the safety of all road users.

Developing water supply system in Szogye

Publication Name: Pollack Periodica

Publication Date: 2022-04-30

Volume: 17

Issue: 1

Page Range: 94-99

Description:

The deteriorative processes occurring in the environment, the growth of population, the water demand of industry and agriculture, point out day after day the increasing role of water management. The economical use of drinking-water consumption as well as the cost reduction is becoming more and more important. In this research, the measure of a water supplier of Gyor was examined in terms of implementing the purposes above.

Cavitation measurement in a centrifugal pump

Publication Name: Acta Polytechnica Hungarica

Publication Date: 2021-01-01

Volume: 18

Issue: 4

Page Range: 63-77

Description:

One of the causes of centrifugal pump instability lies in the phenomenon of cavitation. Cavitation in the centrifugal pump can produce undesirable effects such as deterioration in hydraulic performance. In order to prevent the emergence of cavitation, it is required to know the onset point of the cavitation, in the pump. Our study presents the process and result of the cavitation measurement performed on a centrifugal pump in a closed loop test system. In this study, we applied CFD analysis, which serves as a means of measuring flow in the impeller of the centrifugal pump. The results gained from CFD analysis correspond, approximately, to the measured results.

Examining fire pump nocchi CB8038T on cavitation

Publication Name: Periodica Polytechnica Transportation Engineering

Publication Date: 2019-01-01

Volume: 47

Issue: 3

Page Range: 220-224

Description:

For the safe operation of pumps, it is essential to examine the operation parameters. Operation deviating from the operational parameters defined by the manufacturers would damage the pumps. The majority of specialists who are experts at pump technology and fluid mechanics are familiar with cavitation and aware of its detrimental effects. Firstly, in my study I will briefly present the cavitation as a phenomenon taking place during operation and its counting method. Then I state the results of our measurements carried out during the operation of a pump built in a system type Nocchi CB8038T. My goal is to call the attention to the proper way of the operation of centrifugal pumps, the cavitation generated during operation as a harmful phenomenon and its development examined in practice by us.
