This paper explores the historical development and current trends in digital culture education, emphasizing the need for a STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) approach. The study argues that the inclusion of robotics in education does not necessitate the introduction of new subjects but rather an adaptation of existing methodologies. We propose a structured framework for integrating robotics into current educational curricula, emphasizing interdisciplinary learning and problemsolving skills. The conclusions suggest that moving beyond traditional subject boundaries can foster a more holistic and effective learning environment.

A Localized Multi-Level Method of Fundamental Solutions Applied to Steady Heat Transfer Problems

A special localization technique is presented for solving steady heat transfer problems, in which the thermal conductivity may depend on space variables. The original problem is split into several subproblems defined on much smaller subdomains. The subproblems are solved using the Method of Fundamental Solutions, which is a truly meshless method. This leads to a Seidel-like iterative technique, which mimics the classical Schwarz overlapping method. The problems associated with large, dense and ill-conditioned matrices are avoided. The method is embedded into a multi-level context, which significantly reduces the computational complexity.

Toward Sustainable 3D Printing: Tensile Mechanical Comparison of PLA/PBAT Biopolymer Blend and TPU in MEX Additive Manufacturing †

A biopolymer blend of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and poly(butylene adipate-co-terephtalate) (PBAT) in a 60/40 weight ratio was investigated as a potential green alternative to thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for material extrusion (MEX)-based additive manufacturing. A comparison of the two materials was conducted based on their tensile mechanical properties, evaluated using 3D-printed specimens fabricated with three distinct infill raster orientations (0°, ±45°, and 90°). The results showed that the tensile strengths of the two materials were relatively similar, ranging from 14.7 to 34.8 MPa, depending on the raster angle. However, the stiffness of PLA/PBAT was considerably higher than that of TPU, as reflected by Young’s modulus values an order of magnitude greater. While the elongation at break was comparable at 0° infill orientation (214% for PLA/PBAT and 265% for TPU), TPU exhibited better tolerance to increasing raster angles, with elongation only decreasing to 134% at 90°. In contrast, PLA/PBAT dropped drastically to 2%.

Highlighting the evolution from historicist restoration to modern conservation, the text focuses on the privately funded ‘Romvándor’ program's innovative work in Hungary. The most notab-le project is the conservation of the medieval Varjaskér church ruin wall. To ensure stability against wind load, a minimalist Corten steel fra-me was inserted to provide structural support, delineate the original arched opening, and disp-lay information. Additionally, the former church's foundation walls were marked using grass-cove-red earth banks. Championing minimal, essential, and architecturally innovative intervention, akin to the Zsámbék precedent.

In a previous study, it was concluded that the da Vinci robotic systems installed in the Hungarian healthcare system were, with one privately funded exception, fully financed by EU funds. The present article drives a similar conclusion on a global scale. Massive public investments, or reimbursements, are needed to ensure the prevalence and financial sustainability of robotic surgical systems. The financial sustainability of RAS depends on the economic development of a country and its healthcare system, the number of medical schools, the history of robotic surgery and the funding mechanisms of the healthcare system. Even in the most advanced economies of the world, access to the benefits of RAS may be burdened by limitations in terms of financial (funding) and geographical access.

This study aims to analyze various methods, including AI, that can be used to optimize error analysis in digital twins and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of these analysis methods. Furthermore, the study aims to present an automated solution for error analysis of MATLAB/Simulink-based digital twins. This solution can make the error analysis more efficient without the use of AI, meaning that it can be used even if the digital twin is not appropriately known, which can be a considerable advantage in the current automotive industry, where complex digital twins are commonly used for the development and optimization of E/E systems during different types of in-the-Loop simulations.

In recent years, the resistance of member states to the strengthening of the European Union and its ambition to extend the powers of nation states has become a dominant political element, especially in the countries of the Central and Eastern European region. At the same time, both nation states and the EU are facing a number of global challenges, one of the most significant of which, alongside climate change, is digitalization. At the dawn of the digital age, technological innovation and the free flow of information promised unprecedented opportunities. However, as digital technologies have increasingly permeated all aspects of economic, social and political life, they have created new crises and challenges, particularly with regard to digital sovereignty. This research explores the complex and interdisciplinary nature of digital sovereignty, with a particular focus on the crises that digitalization has triggered and caused. These crises manifest themselves in various forms, including cybersecurity threats, privacy issues and the economic dominance of global technology companies. The European Union’s legislative initiatives, including the Digital Services (DSA), Digital Markets (DMA) and European Media Freedom (EMFA) regulations, as well as the efforts to regulate artificial intelligence, are designed to address the crises inherent in the digital age, while at the same time posing new challenges to the sovereignty and perception of sovereignty of individual states. The research examines the EU’s legislative efforts in navigating the politics of digital crises. It sheds light on the interplay between national self-determination and the EU’s overall regulatory framework, highlighting the ongoing struggle to balance control and cooperation in a rapidly changing digital environment. The analysis will provide a deeper understanding of how digital sovereignty is shaped by and responds to crisis policy, and insights into the future of digital governance in an increasingly interconnected world. It also seeks to assess the extent to which recently introduced EU legislation can be harmonized with the policy objective of strengthening the autonomy of nation states. This is particularly important in the context of the legislation and practices observed in countries with relatively small populations, such as Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
