The paper is focused on the quality of life of university students in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Spain and its indicators and predictors. University students represent a specific demographic group due to a combination of age, education, and health. Paper has several goals. The first goal is to determine the value of the quality of life of university students in the mentioned countries and to determine the degree of their similarity/difference. The second goal is to compare their quality of life with the quality of life in individual countries. The third goal is to investigate which of the indicators have an impact on the quality of life, and thus are its predictors. Two scientific questions are formulated. Firstly, we are interested in whether there will be a difference between quality of life in Central European countries and Western European Spain. Secondly, we aim to find which predictors there are in common in the studied countries. In other words, we examine what the Quality of Life of university students in five countries is and what determines it to be the way it is.

Today, the discourse around the current issues of effective learning is increasingly centred on modern information and communication technologies (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based methodological and technological solutions. ICT tools, such as online learning platforms, virtual classrooms and digital textbooks, have significantly transformed the educational environment, providing opportunities for personalised learning and remote access. In addition, AI-based applications, such as student performance analysis and curriculum customisation, are opening up new horizons in education. AI can create adaptive learning systems that continuously adapt to the needs and progress of students, thus increasing the effectiveness of learning. But these new technologies and methods also bring with them a number of challenges. One major challenge is digital inequality, as not all students have access to ICT tools and the Internet. Furthermore, educators need to continuously develop their digital competences to keep up with technological developments and effectively integrate new methods into teaching. There are also ethical issues, in particular data protection and student privacy. New opportunities include the use of learning analytics to help educators better understand learning processes and identify areas where students need help. Interactive and gamified learning materials developed with the help of AI can make learning more motivating and enjoyable, thereby increasing student engagement. Overall, the integration of modern ICT and AI-based methods and technologies into education offers significant benefits, but their successful implementation requires adequate infrastructural support, continuous training for teachers and digital access for students. This article provides a brief summary of all these phenomena, trends, opportunities and good practices.

In our paper, we present an innovative educational assessment system that attempts to overcome the limitations of traditional educational evaluation methods by applying machine learning, artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, and advanced mathematical techniques. This system can provide a more objective and personalized assessment of students' knowledge. Current examination systems in educational institutions are outdated and do not meet modern societal and technological requirements. A central element of the system is the application of fuzzy logic, which allows for handling uncertainties in knowledge assessment. Using the FP-growth algorithm and the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP) aids in optimizing the evaluation process and enables a more profound analysis of students' performance. During the system's development, we aim to adaptively manage the difficulty level of questions, taking into account students' prior performance and individual capabilities. The study highlights the security risks and efficiency issues of current 'manual' question compilation methods. The new system aims to minimize these risks while improving the quality of education and reducing the workload of educators.

As time passes and technology becomes more impressive, more ways exist to process, store and visualise data, contributing to data analytics' power. The most common process is to collect data from different sources and store it in some file format. Some process then passes the acquired information to a data warehouse where the data can be stored and queried. Once the right data and tables have been selected, they are imported and exported to a visualisation system, where reports can be generated from the available information. All that remains is to create a custom website where the reports can be displayed. In this paper, we work with data related to petrol, diesel, and electric vehicles. The dataset was synthetically generated using a simulation model developed by the author to reflect realistic automotive scenarios. An ETL process will import the data into the data warehouse, which will be stored for subsequent analysis. The information is then exported from the data warehouse to be processed by the visualisation program and used to make statements. This process aims to demonstrate how the values derived from the generated data transition from their raw form to a visualised state. Given the current global transformation of the automotive industry, this topic was selected due to its relevance and the widespread impact of these changes. The study aims to generate various analytical statements, such as the average engine power across different car brands or the average fuel consumption per 100 kilometres for specific vehicle types.

Primary educational institutions aim to prepare children for further education and successful integration into the workforce. To consistently achieve this, they must meet the demands and expectations imposed by the constantly changing economic and social environments. Research shows that applying a constructive pedagogical approach is the most successful path, best fitting the expectations above. An essential and integral part of the educational process is the pedagogical supervision and evaluation procedure, aimed to assess performance and improve and support the learning process. A sad feature of the current system is that it needs to support individual learning paths sufficiently. Additionally, communication issues arising from the generational gap between teachers and students jeopardize the validity of the assessment tools. Educational institutions' advancement and continuous development can only be realized if the pedagogical supervision and evaluation system progresses and evolves to meet new challenges. Our research aims to develop such a method. We are working on creating a complex evaluation method supported by artificial intelligence (WTCAi – When The Child Ask with AI), which suggests appropriate items for assessment and evaluation to subject teachers. To achieve our main objective, we have planned to collect additional social background data from our students. Through analyzing these data, we hope to uncover numerous correlations that significantly influence the obtained data and results, thereby steering the development of the supervision-evaluation system in the most appropriate direction.

Pupillometry shows that pupil size increases when a person's attention is engaged in an increased cognitive load or memory task. This phenomenon is observed during both working memory and episodic memory recall. For example., pupil dilation may be associated with memory encoding and retrieval., as well as with the allocation of attentional resources Attention helps to select and process information., while memory stores this information for longer periods of time. The attentional focus of individuals influences which information is retained in memory over the long term. Pupillometry., which measures changes in pupil size., is a useful tool for investigating this relationship. Pupil size has been linked to cognitive load and attention intensity., so pupillometry offers a way to better understand attentional and memory processes. The rise of digital culture has fundamentally changed the way people learn in higher education. Online platforms, digital learning materials and various e-Iearning tools have become commonplace, significantly changing traditional learning methods. Access to information for students has never been easier: online courses, interactive videos and webinars allow flexible and personalised learning. At the same time, learners are moving from being passive recipients to active participants, as the use of interactive content and collaborative learning tools becomes more widespread. Digital methods offer new ways of acquiring and processing knowledge. Tools such as virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI)-based tutors and gamification-enhanced learning systems increase motivation and allow for a more personalised approach to learning materials. Higher education institutions are also increasingly open to innovation, with the introduction of online learning platforms and hybrid teaching models gaining ground. Through this transformation, higher education is no longer limited to classroom learning but is becoming a global process in the digital space. Today's professional teacher training system includes both professional and pedagogical preparation, the main aim of this training being to further develop the methodological part of the teacher training. In the last three decades, the institutional system and the content of Hungarian VET have been characterised by constant change, significantly influenced by the series of decisions and recommendations on VET in the EU. While continuous structural and content change has updated the VET infrastructure, and modern curricula have been developed, this modernisation has been accompanied by only modest digital and methodological changes. While all the development programmes implemented have made efforts to improve the methodological knowledge of vocational teachers, the results have been less visible in practice. Research on teaching methods and the methodological culture of professional teachers in vocational subjects has been scarcely reported in the professional press. At the same time, the learning environment has changed dramatically over the last decade, and the need for digital education has significantly altered the expectations of teachers in terms of teaching methods. The digital transformation of education is not a digitally-enhanced version of traditional teaching methods, but a new learning environment in terms of approach, requirements, methodology and assessment systems. In our study we want to present an empirical research and its results, as well as new directions for development, which aimed at partially overcoming this methodological gap at the University of Dunaújváros, In this context, we describe in detail the study that was carried out by means of a questionnaire survey and focus group interviews among engineering and vocational students of the institution in 2014 and 2024.

Configuration Management Database, also known as CMDB, with reliable and up-to-date data is one of the essential foundations for the efficient operation of IT systems. A leading company in Hungary (name withheld for confidentiality reasons) is committed to providing world-class telecommunications infrastructure services, and to achieve this goal, it is focusing on the implementation of a project to create reporting on its Configuration Management Database, which will allow for better visibility and more efficient maintenance. The development will follow ITIL principles, with a more detailed focus on the doctrines of Service Transition and Continual Service Improvement. The quality assurance of education and training is of paramount importance, and the monitoring, assessment and evaluation process is indispensable for this purpose. A key determinant of the effectiveness of education is assessment, which serves not only to measure performance but also to support the learning process. The process of assessment and evaluation must take into account the diverse needs and abilities of students. Differentiated assessment supports individual learning paths and personal development. Assessment must be objective and valid, but it can achieve its deeper developmental purpose when personalized. Our research aims to enhance pedagogical assessment efficiency by developing a machine learning-supported assessment system. The research focuses on developing STEM skills and analyzes children's questions to understand their interests and needs better. During the research, we observe the characteristics of questions posed by children and develop a machine learning algorithm that helps provide suggestions to educators for creating assessment questions. Based on the data, we identify children's areas of interest and the difficulty level of questions. According to the research results, children's questions can significantly differ from question sets prepared by educators, suggesting that children's diverse perspectives and interests should be given even greater consideration in teaching. The research also raises further directions for development. It aims to use machine learning to understand better the diverse ways of thinking and differences in expression among children, thereby making education and assessment more effective. This can contribute significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching-learning process.

One of the main aims of educational institutions, is to prepare children for further education and successful integration into the workforce. To achieve this, as much as possible, it is necessary to meet the requirements and expectations set by dynamically changing economic and social environments. Research has shown that learner-centered knowledge transfer and a constructive pedagogical approach have proven more effective in achieving all possible learning outcomes than cognitivist learning theory (teacher-centered education). Therefore, pedagogical monitoring and evaluation procedures are necessary and integral parts, of the educational process, with the goal not only being performance evaluation but also improving and supporting the learning process. Then again, a sad characteristic of the current system is that, on the one hand, it needs to support individual learning paths adequately and on the other hand, the validity of measuring tools suffers, due to the generation gap between teachers and children. Therefore, the development of pedagogical monitoring and evaluation processes, should be an integral part of the constant improvement of educational institutions. Consequently, the question arises: How can the pedagogical monitoring and evaluation system be developed, so that individual learning paths are supported and the validity of measurement tools is optimally ensured? In seeking the answer to this question, our research aims to develop a complex evaluation system, supported by artificial intelligence (WTCAi-When The Child Ask with AI), that suggests suitable actions for monitoring and evaluation, for subject teachers.

The basic aim of the research presented in this paper was a complex evaluation of a practical space exercise supported by virtual tools, with a special focus on the role of VR technology and the software used. The research also examined technological and methodological aspects such as the effectiveness of VR lab exercises, the quality of online learning materials and software, and the role of instructors. The methodology of our research was based on attitudinal analysis and descriptive statistical analysis, an important part of which was an evaluation of the VR software used, which not only characterises the current situation but also determines future development directions. As a result of our research, we can conclude that VR technology, especially 3D visualisation and interactive exercises, have proven to be particularly important in the learning process, but the future of VT technology in education is still perceived by students as somewhat uncertain due to infrastructural and resource constraints. Furthermore, our research results show that there is a need to improve the IT infrastructure and further optimize VR software, as well as a need for future research on resource allocation and technology integration beyond the pedagogical effectiveness of VR technology.

The NAO robot has been widely used in various settings, from education and healthcare to entertainment and research. The effectiveness of the robot largely depends on its ability to interact with humans in a meaningful and engaging way. This paper explores the role of human-robot interaction in the effectiveness of the NAO robot. We review the literature on human-robot interaction and highlight the key factors that contribute to successful human-robot interactions. Then we discuss the specific features of the NAO robot that facilitate or hinder effective human-robot interactions. Finally, we present some recent studies that have investigated the impact of human-robot interaction on the effectiveness of the robot in different settings. Overall, our analysis suggests that effective human-robot interaction is essential for the successful implementation of the NAO robot, and that further research is needed to better understand the dynamics of human-robot interaction and its impact on the effectiveness of the robot.

In recent years, the number of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) applications has increased. However, navigating them indoors is still tricky because no GPS signals are available, and the obstacles constantly change. This study exploits the collaboration between convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and reinforcement learning (RL) to overcome these challenges, improving the level of independence of UAVs in indoor settings. We present a new technique known as potential-based reward shaping, which directly incorporates expert knowledge into the reinforcement learning framework. This technique efficiently addresses the problem of sparse rewards that often hinder learning in conventional RL configurations. In addition, we have created a reflective reinforcement learning agent that systematically assesses its actions to prioritize those that result in the most substantial enhancements. We have extensively evaluated the performance of our method with the High-Definition Indoor Navigation (HDIN) dataset to show that our method continuously outperformed current non-introspective RL techniques in terms of decision-making speed and navigation accuracy in this evaluation. The results show that this new CNN-RL combination is feasible and suggests a scalable method for complex indoor navigation problems.

In the field of education, the effectiveness of interactive and collaborative learning support is significantly enhanced by advanced digital and artificial intelligence (AI)- based solutions. These tools are revolutionising not only teaching methods but also the learning experience. The use of AI enables a better understanding of learners' individual needs and learning styles and the design of personalised learning programmes. For example, adaptive learning systems analyse learner performance in real time and provide immediate feedback, as well as automatically adapting curricula according to students' progress. Interactive digital platforms allow students to collaborate, even from geographically distant locations. Such platforms often include video-conferencing features, collaborative workspaces and real-time collaboration tools to facilitate collaborative project work and group task solving. AI-based chatbots and virtual assistants provide ongoing support, answering learners' questions and helping them to navigate the course material. Gamification is also becoming increasingly important, integrating playful elements into the learning process to motivate and engage learners. AI has the ability to track students' progress in games and provide them with personalised challenges. Through data analytics, teachers can gain detailed insights into student progress and provide more targeted support. In this article, we explore the methodological and technological possibilities supported by modern digital interactive tools to support collaborative, adaptive learning processes. In a nutshell, we also refer to artificial intelligence-based possibilities.

As a sector responsible for developing the competences of individuals, building knowledge and training professionals, education should seek to keep pace with trends and break with traditional approaches and methods, so that, in addition to incorporating technological developments, a renewed approach to organizational development and methodology is an important means of achieving the desired success and effectiveness. In the course of our work, we provide a summary insight into the project work of student groups who require up-to-date IT skills, use advanced IT tools, plan, and implement their web development workflows supported by database management, front-end planning and design, and back-end programming with a project management approach according to the latest trends, interpreting the advantages and disadvantages of working methods for success.

Evaluation is an essential part of education. In addition to helping track student progress and learning processes, evaluations play a significant critical and important role in developing the individual's personality and forming a realistic self-image. Therefore, evaluations must be accurate, reliable, encompassing of changes, and supportive of developmental paths. Assessments can take various forms and can be carried out in-person, verbally, in writing, or through practical tasks, but they can also be conducted online, in a digital format, within a suitable framework. Regardless of these, one common element, the assessing educator is the adult who plans, integrates, and conducts the periodic control and evaluation process. Thus, there is also a generational difference inherently present and this affects the entire teaching and learning process, thereby influencing the evaluation process significantly, and reducing its efficiency. In this study, we present a self-developed system that increases the efficiency of the control and evaluation process by assisting the educator's work and reducing the communication gap due to generational differences. In addition to describing the applied technologies during the system's demonstration, we also discuss the methods and operating processes, which we conclude by evaluating the test results.

In addition to the specific characteristics of the teaching-learning process, we have faced and continue to face a number of challenges and constraints in the digital era. A common set of challenges has been and will continue to be, at the end of 2021, the issue of digital competences, which is one of the main focal points (in addition to the provision of a modern high-capacity server backbone) of the new European Digital Agenda for Education (2021-27). The focus of our paper is therefore on the study of digital competences among teachers. In Hungary, the adapted frameworks based on the central EU Recommendation were published in 2019 and 2020, the first of which was the digital competence framework for teachers based on DigCompEdu. The digital skills and ICT attitudes of teachers play a key role in digital education. In this article, we present the results of a snow-ball sampling based pilot questionnaire administered to practising teachers in addition to a description and overview of the theoretical framework. Our research questionnaire consisted of 34 items, with N=112 respondents providing a scored response to our survey. The questionnaire survey consisted of a total of six sections, and we intend to use the responses and results obtained in our further research, seeking answers to the main research questions.
