Do we have to take into account the human mistakes during traffic simulation?

Publication Name: Ines 2007 11th International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems Proceedings

Publication Date: 2007-12-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 45-49

Description:

This paper deals with an actual question of traffic modeling: the human mistakes are implicable and is it needed to involve them into a traffic model or not? The first part of the paper gives a short survey of the role of traffic simulation. The second part of the paper contains our approach and represents the first step of our method aimed at the development of a driver model applicable in the widely used simulation systems to describe practical traffic situations. ©2007 IEEE.

Definitions and measurement of power factor

Publication Name: 8th International Symposium of Hungarian Researchers on Computational Intelligence and Informatics Cinti 2007

Publication Date: 2007-12-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 623-632

Description:

The methodology of measurement of cos was developed long time ago, but it is usable only for sinusoidal voltages and currents. Nowadays the customer loads use power supplies built with semiconductors, switching power supplies, power controlling systems, etc. These loads cause non-sinusoidal current in power lines, energy quality and EMC problems. The method of Power Factor measurement is described in this article, which is a good KPI in these cases.

Test calculation for logic and delay faults in digital circuits

Publication Name: Proceedings International Workshop on Microprocessor Test and Verification

Publication Date: 2007-12-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 20-29

Description:

The paper presents a test calculation principle which serves for producing tests for logic and delay faults in digital circuits. Switch-level logic faults in CMOS circuits are also considered. The delay faults manifest themselves in the incorrect timing behavior of some logic elements within the network. Both single and multiple faults are included. The proposed method handles multi-valued logic, where the number of logic values is unlimited. The level of circuit modeling is also allowed to vary in a wide range: switch level, gate level, functional level, register-transfer level are equally allowed. Both combinational and sequential circuits are considered. The principle is comparatively simple, and it yields an opportunity to be realized by an efficient computer program. © 2006 IEEE.

RFId applications in the supply chain

Publication Name: 2007 1st Annual Rfid Eurasia

Publication Date: 2007-12-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: Unknown

Description:

It is a fact that Radio Frequency Identification technology (RFId) can benefit enterprises and contribute to their integration to supply chains. Several issues emerge concerning technology and economy of introducing and applying the system, especially in small and medium sized businesses. In 2005 Department of Logistics and Forwarding of Széchenyi István University joined the program INTERREG IIIC "REGINSrfld" initiated by the Community of the European Union. The purpose of the program is to examine possibilities of introducing of RFId in small and medium-sized businesses. We completed the project in cooperation with German, Austrian and Italian partners in June 2006.

Determination of DC micro-motor characteristics by electrical measurements

Publication Name: Recent Advances in Mechatronics

Publication Date: 2007-12-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 278-282

Description:

It is generally difficult to carry out and measure breaking moments precisely in the mNm range. Instead of traditional methods using brake and additional mechanical elements to determine torque vs. angular velocity characteristics of micro-motors this paper suggest a new procedure based on purely electrical measurements. Theoretical background of the measuring procedure is discussed detailed. The suggested method is shown in the case of a RF300E DC micro-motor. © 2007 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
