It meticulously categorises diverse approaches aimed at delineating the essence of inclusive growth, encompassing the articulation of principal objectives, and identifying challenges that inclusive growth endeavours to address. Furthermore, to enhance the organization of research and attain a nuanced understanding of prevalent, well-explored, and under-researched themes, the study advocates for a supplementary bibliometric analysis of publications on inclusive growth. Utilizing data extracted from the Scopus and Web of Science databases from 1995 to 2022, this research discerns notable scholarly interest in inclusive growth, particularly among academic communities in the United States, India, and Great Britain. The findings delineate several focal points within the realm of inclusive growth, including the determinants of developmental trajectories, the constituents and metrics of economic expansion, as well as the evaluation and prognostication of its outcomes. Moreover, the study underscores the significance, characteristics, and potential avenues of inclusive growth, alongside the imperative of financial inclusivity and its role in fostering equitable economic development. Additionally, it identifies key components essential for achieving sustainable development objectives, elucidating how inclusive growth initiatives are intricately linked to the mitigation of pervasive societal challenges such as poverty, inequality, and unemployment. By identifying prominent clusters of scholarly discourse, this research facilitates a nuanced comprehension of the most salient themes and issues animating the discourse on inclusive growth, thus providing a valuable foundation for future scholars and policymakers in this crucial area.

This study assesses the effectiveness of seismic base isolation using triple friction pendulum isolators (TFPIs) as a retrofitting strategy for a five-story steel building. This building is characterized by vulnerable Satchel connections, which suffered extensive brittle failures during the 1990 Manjil and 2003 Bam earthquakes in Iran. Four different experimentally calibrated Satchel connection configurations (S1 to S4) were modeled within a typical five-story building. These configurations varied in parameters such as rotational stiffness (780t.m/rad to 1380t.m/rad), angle lengths (15 cm to 20 cm), and beam sections (IPE180 and IPE220). For each of the four building models, all connections were uniformly assigned one of the four specimen types. The structural and non-structural performance of these models was evaluated using nonlinear endurance time (ET) analysis. The assessment covered seismic hazard levels corresponding to 475-year, 2475-year, and return periods beyond 2475 years. The results showed that implementing a base isolation system avoids the need for extensive strengthening of the existing connections. Moreover, by adding the isolators to the current connections, the structure’s performance can significantly surpass that of a brand-new, code-compliant design.

Description:

The key of the planning of public transport systems is the accurate prediction of the traffic load which requires a well-functioning assignment method and reliable passenger data (i.e. time-dependent OD matrix). The paper two years ago at TRA2014 was started with this idea. Since that time the procedure was improved and real network test was performed. Based on the experiences of the real network tests several new improvements were implemented. This paper shows the newest results with the previously described method and search for connection between network structure and certainty together with sample size.

In this paper, the architecture of a mixed-signal CNN visual processor with on board photodetecting sensor array analog RAM, and a switching matrix to process off chip sensor signals is proposed. In our design, the CMOS sensor array possesses high performance readout circuitry and embedded data storage capability. For further compactness, a new template memory structure is built that requires about quarter of silicon size compared to previous designs. The vision chip comprises most of the modules of a sensory system and keeps tight relationship between the sensors and the processor. © 2008 IEEE.

Preparation of soft magnetic composite from Fe-6.9wt%Si by different heat treatment strategies.

Present study investigated the effect of isothermal heat treatment strategies between 800 °C and 1150 °C on the magnetic properties of toroidal samples made from Fe-6.9wt%Si powder. The samples were prepared by classical powder metallurgy method since the classical sheet forming methods no longer work with the high silicon content. Our results presented here are part of a series of comparative experiments where we study the effectiveness of the insulating layers created during and before the compacting of soft magnetic composites (SMCs). Our goal was to create a soft magnetic composite made of ferromagnetic and inorganic insulating material with a frequency limit already in the megahertz range and a Snoek limit of few gigahertz. In the case of samples made from Fe-6.9wt%Si powder, the computed tomography results showed that significant porosity is to be expected after pressing. Its positive effect occurred during the heat treatment in the atmospheric agent, where silicon is precipitated and deposited on the surface of the particle. This coating is an electrically insulating layer at the grain boundaries. Depending on the heat treatment strategy, 1 or 2 ferromagnetic phases were observed. The frequency limit approached the target values, but due to the low value of static permeability, the Snoek limit did not reach the gigahertz range. However, there is a significant improvement in magnetic properties compared to the heat-treated samples in a protective gas.

Prostate cancer is one of the most commonly seen malignancies. Radical prostatectomy-open, laparoscopic or robot-assisted – is considered the first-line treatment for intermediate and high-risk prostate cancer, along with radiotherapy, if the expected survival is greater than 10 years. Radical prostatectomy is also considered in case of low-risk patients alongside active follow-up. Today, robot-assisted radical prostatectomy is the most common surgical treatment for localised prostate cancer. It is associated with shorter hospitalisation times and lower transfusion requirements compared to open surgery. Satisfactory long-term biochemical recurrence-free survival and tumour-specific survival can be achieved with robot-assisted radical prostatectomy in the treatment of low-, intermediate-and highrisk prostate cancer. It has the advantage of rapid postoperative continence recovery and high potency recovery rates. The cost of the minimal invasive approach is higher compared to open radical prostatectomy, and the benefits of faster postoperative recovery should be further investigated to quantify cost-effectiveness. The robot-assisted approach has enabled a number of new surgical techniques and further rapid advances in this field are expected.

This paper contains the relation between speckle pattern and Digital Image Correlation (DIC). The most important advance in experimental mechanics has been DIC since the strain gage. The deformation (strain) of an object can be visualized by DIC. Among all scientific fields, the DIC Technologies have seen a dynamic increase. The relationship between the paint and the sample-as the patterns mediate the deformation to the cameras-has been the most important technological issue. In this article the method developed for the detection of isolated particles in alloys is used to characterize the spots, which help the best speckle pattern has determined.

Dynamic inflation responses to war-related electricity shocks: DTW-based evidence from European energy and renewables regimes

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine turned wholesale electricity prices into a major, but uneven, driver of inflation across Europe. The article aims to quantify dynamic inflation responses to war-related electricity shocks and to identify distinct energy-inflation regimes conditioned by renewables penetration and structural characteristics. The analysis uses a balanced monthly panel of 26 European countries (2019-2025), combining two-way fixed-effects regressions with event-time “excess” inflation profiles and correlation-and clustering based on Dynamic Time Warping. Early-phase excess inflation around February 2022 ranges from about 0.53 percentage points (cluster 6) to 1.06 percentage points (cluster 3), with clusters 1 and 5 also showing strong overshoots (≈0.94-0.91), while only clusters 1 and 3 sustain elevated excess inflation in the medium phase (≈0.71-0.76) and all regimes converge to within-0.07 to +0.16 by the late phase. DTW clustering reveals six regimes with distinct pre-war configurations of electricity prices (approximately 49-59 EUR/MWh), renewable energy shares (approximately 24-55%), and unemployment rates (approximately 4.45-8.59%). A heterogeneous-slope FE model shows that a 100 EUR/MWh electricity shock raises the monthly HICP by only 0.03 percentage points in cluster 3 and 0.09 in cluster 5. In contrast, the effects in other clusters are small and statistically insignificant, confirming a highly uneven and often muted pass-through.
