Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and a Near Field Communication (NFC) is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices different devices. An RFID tag and NFC devices is a small object that contains an antenna that enables it to receive and respond to radio-frequency. Basic requirements that these devices have to work in any conditions. In the working environment (closed or open air) there are always objects which can interact with radio frequency. This technical problem is to be considered when it comes to implementation of RFID or NFC devices knowing that materials can reflect, absorb or detune radio waves. Literature review on steel fibre, silica fume and fly ash: improving methods for recycled and multiple recycled aggregate concretes

If all concrete is to be recycled in a future scenario, recycled concrete will be needed. Usually concrete recycling causes loss of properties, but this does not have to be truth for all the mixtures. This paper shows a comprehensive knowledge about the improving methods used to keep the properties of the recycled aggregate concrete (RAC). In the reviewed literature several kinds of RAC were tested with various replacement ratios. The effect of adding steel fibres, silica fume or fly ash to the mixture were also examined both separately and together. Most of the experiments demonstrated excellent mechanical properties of the RAC compared with ordinary concretes. Based on these results the ideal RAC composition can be deduced and a future can be imagined when concrete can be recycled multiple times (MRAC).

Crystallinity and Oscillatory Shear Rheology of Polyethylene Blends

Crystallinity and rheological behavior are significant for processing semi-crystalline polymers with fine mechanical properties. There is always an economical need to create a less expensive new material with better properties. Non-isothermal crystallization and oscillatory shear rheology of different branch-type polyethylene–polyethylene blends were investigated. Samples of high-density and low-density polyethylene (HDPE/LDPE) (20/80, 40/60, 60/40 and 80/20 weight ratios) and two types of high-density and linear low-density polyethylene (HDPE/LLDPE) (40/60 and 60/40 weight ratios) were prepared via extrusion. The materials were tested by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) at several cooling rates (5, 10, 20, 30 and 40°/min) and by oscillation rheometry (ARES G2) at low angular frequency range to prove their miscibility or immiscibility. It was found that the one-peak melting endotherm of the 80–20% HDPE-LDPE blend could indicate miscibility in the solid phase, while the other HDPE-LDPE blends with two-peak curves are partially or not miscible. In contrast, all the HDPE-LLDPE blends indicate co-crystallization, but the 40–60% HDPE-LLDPE butylene blend is probably immiscible. It was revealed that complex viscosity decreases with angular frequency: linearly for HD-LD blends and not linearly for HD-LLDPE blends. The complex viscosity shows linear behavior with composition for HD-LLDPE blends, while there is a positive–negative deviation for HD-LD blends. In the liquid phase, according to rheological measurements, the HDPE-LDPE blends are not or partially miscible, while the HDPE-LLDPE blends are probably miscible.

This study analyzes the impact of local thermal non-equilibrium on the bioconvection flow of hybrid nanofluid across a slender extending sheet containing gyrotactic bacteria using artificial neural networks trained using a Bayesian regularization backpropagation approach (ANN-BRS). The effects of magnetic fields, thermal radiation, and Hall current are all things related to fluid flow. The suggested model has particular applicability in microscale drug delivery systems, where gyrotactic microorganisms and hybrid nanofluid can be employed to control nutrition and medication dispersion under non-equilibrium temperature circumstances. It can be used in lab-on-chip and organ-on-chip technologies to improve bio-mixing and accurate heat control. The model also applies to micro-solar collectors and porous micro-heat exchangers, which use hybrid nanoparticles to boost thermal efficiency. It can also be used in bioreactors and biomedical cooling systems, where local thermal non-equilibrium effects and ANN-based prediction allow for precise control of heat, mass, and microbe transfer, resulting in optimal performance. Similarity transformations are used to convert the original nonlinear PDEs into non-dimensional ODEs and the bvp4c program is applied to numerically resolve the resulting boundary-value problem. The training, testing, and validation processes yield the expected outcomes for every scenario based on the chosen data points. Regression analysis, histograms of error, and mean square error (MSE) metrics are employed to assess the ANN-BRS model's outcome. The liquid phase heat thermal profile increases as the interphase heat transfer parameter values rise, while the solid phase thermal profile decreases.

The paper presents an algorithm for producing the logic conditions that result in the effects of a cause-effect graph belonging to a given software. These conditions yield the test cases of the software. The algorithm applies a three-valued Boolean algebra, and is based on the successive justification of logic values in a combinational network, where the primary inputs are the causes, and the primary outputs are the effects. The computations are performed by traversing a decision tree, where backtracking is required if a decision leads to a logic contradiction. The main advantage of the algorithm is that it reduces the number of decisions to a great extent by using don't care values in the process. The calculation principle is comparatively simple. It is based only on successive line-value justification, and it yields an opportunity to be realized by an efficient computer program. The logic model introduced in the paper is completely general, in that it is applicable to any kind of cause-effect graphs, without any constraint. © 2013 IEEE.

Due to the proven existence of climatic changes, a review on water needs of cattle is doubtlessly important. People increasingly like to be aware of the water footprint of different products. In this study, authors briefly surveyed the role of drinking water as a nutrient of cattle. Based on several international results, factors affecting water consumption of cattle–especially air and water temperatute–were presented. Water quality aspects, including calculation method of water quality index, were also discussed. Estimation (regression exuations) and instrumental measurement possibilities (digital systems) for water consumption of cattle were also presented, as well as several purification methods. As it was concluded, water is inevitably important in health status, welfare and thus, production of cattle. Professional literatures provide several data on the nutritional value of water. However, further comprehensive investigation would be worth to be carried out to collect exact information on water losses of cattle under different conditions. Effect of air and water temperature on water intake is well documented internationally, domestic research under Hungarian climate conditions could be helpful to breeders, as well as the development of a national water quality index. Digitalization can be a great support in collecting accurate data on feed and water intake of cattle under different conditions. Since clear water is not present in an unlimited amount, application and development of different purifying methods and technologies is of great importance, as well as inventing new possibilities for it.

Control theories of cognitive systems are gaining relevance as a result of two driving forces: the desire to create artificial cognitive systems, and the desire to influence or control biological ones. This paper introduces the Spiral Discovery Method (SDM) in a new context, with the goal of facilitating reduced path parameter identification of black-box systems. The approach appeals to human cognitive capabilities in that it reduces the number of possible interaction parameters, and in that it introduces a cyclical structure to the search path which helps in reducing the cognitive load associated with the search process. The proposed approach is demonstrated through a rudimentary parameter identification scenario, and future directions are discussed. © 2013 IEEE.

Exploring the nexus of blockchain and food supply chain traceability: A bibliometric analysis

This research examines the development of academic studies on the use of blockchain for food supply chain traceability through an extensive bibliometric investigation of publications from 2018 to 2025. The review highlights the most active scholars, institutions, journals, and countries contributing to this area, offering a clear picture of the leading actors in the field. By applying keyword co-occurrence analysis and network mapping, the study uncovers patterns in citations, collaboration structures, and thematic clusters. Results indicate a strong upward trajectory in publications, with an annual growth rate of more than 60%, signaling accelerating attention to blockchain-enabled traceability solutions. Collaboration patterns point to a concentration of activity in technologically advanced regions, where cross-border partnerships are stronger, while emerging economies show more limited international engagement. The analysis also reveals that partnerships often form around shared areas of interest and reflects a clustering effect. A small set of authors and institutions dominates knowledge production, which is consistent with the Matthew effect. Overall, these dynamics suggest that while the field is rapidly expanding, it remains unevenly distributed. The study offers both an overview of the intellectual landscape and practical guidance for future research aimed at broadening participation, enhancing collaboration, and more closely linking blockchain with sustainability and food system innovation.
