Specific heart rate values of 10-12-year-old physical education students during physical activity

Students who participate in well-planned and structured physical education (PE) lessons engage in significantly higher levels of physical activity than children who do not. Heart rate monitoring a useful tool to help both students and teachers understand the efficiency of the physical activity. The purpose of this study was to analyze primary school children’s body compositions and heart rates when performing different types of physical activities (gymnastics, mixed activities, ball games, athletics, and games). The sample included 10-12-year-old primary school boys (N=46) and girls (N=63) from the university’s cooperating school. To estimate their body compositions, standard anthropometric techniques were used. Polar RS400 heart rate monitors were used to monitor the heart rate of each child during the main parts of different types of physical education lessons. There were no differences between the genders for the body composition or for the maximal heart rate values in the different PE content areas. The lowest heart rate was recorded during gymnastics (148 beat*min-1), and the highest values were detected during the game activities and athletics (164.60 and 163.83 beat*min-1. For the mixed activities and ball games, the heart rates ranged between 154.06 and 156.52 beat*min-1. Physical activities that result in higher heart rate values required a greater contribution and adaptation of the cardiovascular system. However, activities that elicit a lower heart rate likely focus more on skill learning and acquisition. This data can be used as a resource for physical education teachers when planning and structuring PE classes.

The same model can also be used for solving traffic forecasting problems. The solution algorithm applied is the so-called RAS one where a certain exponential opposition function is used. In our paper, we present an innovative educational assessment system that attempts to overcome the limitations of traditional educational evaluation methods by applying machine learning, artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, and advanced mathematical techniques. This system can provide a more objective and personalized assessment of students' knowledge. Current examination systems in educational institutions are outdated and do not meet modern societal and technological requirements. A central element of the system is the application of fuzzy logic, which allows for handling uncertainties in knowledge assessment. Using the FP-growth algorithm and the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP) aids in optimizing the evaluation process and enables a more profound analysis of students' performance. During the system's development, we aim to adaptively manage the difficulty level of questions, taking into account students' prior performance and individual capabilities. The study highlights the security risks and efficiency issues of current 'manual' question compilation methods. The new system aims to minimize these risks while improving the quality of education and reducing the workload of educators.

Since March 2020, Hungary has almost continuously been under a type of special legal order, the state of emergency, which was first introduced to better protect against the COVID-19 epidemic and then in May 2022—following the amendment of the Fundamental Law—due to the Russian-Ukrainian war. Both the crises caused by the epidemic and the armed conflict in the neighbouring country were de facto limited not only to the health and migration-humanitarian fields, but the Government made use of the exceptional legislative powers of the special legal order in almost all areas of life. Economic regulation was no exception: in 2021, the Government capped the retail price of fuel, and from February 2022 onwards, the retail price of several basic foodstuffs (including flour, sugar, milk, chicken breast and other meats, and later eggs and potatoes). The aim of this paper is to show the limits of one of the most powerful state interventions in the economy: the price maximisation. This can basically be determined on the basis of the relevant case law of three fora of legal protection—the Hungarian Constitutional Court, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and the Court of Justice of the European Union. A comparison of the case law of the above-mentioned three courts also shows which legal protection mechanism is most effective against legislation restricting the free competition—at least in a period of special legal order.

ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT STATE AND DYNAMICS OF TOURISM INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT IN AKMOLA REGION, KAZAKHSTAN

Despite Kazakhstan’s unique natural and climatic features, rich recreational potential, and developed sanatorium infrastructure, the country has not yet become a competitive international tourist destination. In particular, the Akmola region, which has notable natural assets, remains underdeveloped in terms of tourism, and its potential is not effectively utilized to attract foreign tourists. This study aims to analyze the current state of tourism in the Akmola region, identify key problems, and propose possible solutions to enhance its development. To assess public perception, a 14-item questionnaire was created based on relevant literature and distributed via social networks. Survey questions were offered in the form of docs.google.com to facilitate distribution. A total of 503 respondents participated in the survey. Results show that Burabai National Park was recognized by 43.1% of respondents as having high tourism potential, followed by Kokshetau National Park (28.2%) and Buiratau (16.5%). At the same time, as for the attractiveness of tourist and recreational facilities in Akmola region, 57.1% of respondents answered that they are unique in nature, and 26.2% believe that ecotourism has great opportunities. Because the unique nature of Akmola region is a diverse landscape that includes: mountains, lakes, rivers, forests and steppes. However, 71% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the level of hotel development in the region, and over 50% emphasized the need to improve tourism infrastructure. The findings highlight the necessity of integrated development of the region’s tourist and recreational resources. In particular, it is necessary to repair the main roads, ensure the renewal of public transport and tourist routes. This allows us to provide accommodation in accordance with international standards, provide quality services at an affordable price and attract significant investment. Strengthening these aspects will not only improve the attractiveness of the region to global tourists but also contribute to the socio-economic well-being of the local population and foster the sustainable development of the Akmola region. Ultimately, the proposed strategies for the development of the tourism industry in Akmola region should be aimed at the effective use of local resources and increasing the competitiveness of the region, improving the socio-cultural level of the region by increasing the flow of tourists.

The Role of food aid and livelihood interventions in mediating the relationship between household’s resilience and economic empowerment

Gaza has one of the high unemployment rates globally, therefore keeping people imprisoned in poverty and dependent on external support to existing. The strategy for poverty reduction in Gaza primarily consists of giving food aid or multi-purpose cash-based assistance and livelihood projects; nevertheless, this does not reduce unemployment or poverty in the long term. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have increased their efforts to provide more effective and comprehensive interventions to the affected populations, especially in the Gaza Strip. The research implemented a quantitative methodology distributed to over 300 household benefited from food aid and livelihood interventions through the NGOs in Gaza Strip. The questionnaire had been constructed based on the Likert Scale ranging from 1 (Strongly Agree) to 5 (Strongly Disagree). The data had been treated using SPSS statistical tool and AMOS for structural equation modeling and analysis to study the mediating effect of food aid and livelihood interventions on the relationship between household resilience and economic empowerment in the Gaza Strip. The research found that the resilience ability of many families in the Gaza Strip has increased because of the humanitarian assistance provided by NGOs, which lead to reducing poverty and household resilience plays a vital role in minimizing poverty and alleviating suffering through empowering and engaging them in the economy. The research also found that food aid tends to critically impact the relationship between household resilience and economic empowerment. NGOs play an essential role in engaging the poor in the economy through providing food security and encouraging new investments and efforts to improve help effectiveness via greater coordination among players involved in the implementation and better planning, targeting, and providing aid to people in Gaza Strip. The research findings also showed that livelihood interventions mediate the relationship between household resilience and economic empowerment in Gaza Strip. The structural model supports that the livelihood interventions modulated the association between household resilience and economic empowerment.

Influence of the Tensor Product Model Representation Of QLPV Models on The Feasibility of Linear Matrix Inequality

The present paper proves that the vertexes of the tensor product (TP) model type polytopic representation of a given quasi linear parameter varying (qLPV) state-space model strongly interfere with the feasibility regions of linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based control design methods. Furthermore this is valid both for the LMI-based feasibility of the controller and the observer design, but the influence differs for the controller and the observer system components. More specifically, the factors influencing the feasibility regions of the LMI-based control design include: (i) the manipulation of the vertexes' position; and (ii) the size and complexity of the TP model type polytopic representation, i.e. the number of the vertexes contained in the TP model representation. The proof is based on a complex control design example, where the influence of these factors stated above can be easily and clearly indicated. Furthermore the paper shows via the example that the maximal parameter space of the controller and observer also depends on these factors. The example model consists of the complex Nonlinear Aeroelastic Test Apparatus (NATA) model of the three degree of freedom aeroelastic wing section model including Stribeck friction and the control design method is based on the relaxed TP model transformation-based control design framework that supports the flexible manipulation of these factors.

Edge computing has emerged as an important paradigm to address the evolving demands of latency-sensitive applications and the adaptation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, offering near edge data processing to increase performance, reduce bandwidth usage, and increase data privacy. However, benchmarking these heterogeneous edge environments remains a challenge due to their distributed nature and diverse hardware configurations. This paper proposes "Scalable Heterogeneous Edge Automation Benchmarking"(SHEAB), a novel containerized and automated framework designed to evaluate edge computing systems comprehensively. SHEAB integrates containerization for portability, automation for efficiency, and a multi-layered security architecture - including firewalls, VPNs, and secure shell connections - to ensure robust data integrity across varied edge servers. This research advances the field by providing a scalable, secure, and adaptable benchmarking solution, with future directions aimed at researching hardware capability assessments and increasing AI-driven edge-computing testing and benchmarking.
