Vibration Diagnostic Methods of Automatic Transmission Service Requirement Prediction

Publication Name: Infrastructures

Publication Date: 2023-02-01

Volume: 8

Issue: 2

Page Range: Unknown

Description:

Automatic transmission is a key factor for autonomous driving. The transmission condition is highly affected by the quality and quantity of transmission oil in the system. However, the oil condition is not monitored in the system, and the oil change interval and method are still a subject of discussion. This paper analyzes the effects of oil changes in automatic transmissions. The measurements were carried out before and after the oil change with the same external conditions. With the vibration measurement method, data can be collected without disassembling the parts and during operational conditions. Furthermore, time- and frequency-based analyses were conducted to compare different transmissions’ operations. The results have shown that the effect of oil degradation is measurable on the amplitude of the signals and, therefore, predictable with vibration diagnostics. During the evaluation, the maximum values were compared on measurements with at least a 2-s length.

Designing Human–AI Synergy Systems: The Influence of AI-Driven Sustainable HRM and AI-Based Decision-Making on Employee Engagement and Resilience

Publication Name: Systems

Publication Date: 2026-05-01

Volume: 14

Issue: 5

Page Range: Unknown

Description:

This study investigates the influence of artificial intelligence-driven sustainable human resource management (AI-SHRM) on employee job engagement and resilience, with a particular focus on the mediating role of relational contracts. Anchored in the social exchange paradigm, the study examines how the fulfillment of relational contracts fosters positive work outcomes, thereby enhancing overall organizational performance. Additionally, this research explores the role of perceived artificial intelligence decision-making (PAIDM) in amplifying these outcomes by promoting fairness and transparency within HR practices. Utilizing data from a three-wave field survey of 481 respondents in China, the findings reveal that AI-SHRM significantly enhances relational contracts, leading to increased job engagement and resilience. Moreover, PAIDM serves as a significant moderating factor, intensifying the positive effects by strengthening perceptions of equitable treatment. This research advances both theoretical and practical perspectives on AISHRM, relational contracts, and the role of AI-driven decisions in contemporary workplace dynamics, offering critical insights for future organizational studies.

Friction and Wear of the Piston Ring - Cylinder Liner System with Artificially Aged Ultra-low Viscosity Engine Oils

Publication Name: Periodica Polytechnica Transportation Engineering

Publication Date: 2024-01-01

Volume: 52

Issue: 2

Page Range: 190-198

Description:

This study aims to investigate the performance of artificially aged prototype engine oils through friction and wear experiments. Experiments were performed on a piston ring - cylinder liner model system with boundary conditions derived from real-life operating conditions. The experimental design implemented two prototype oils (SAE 0W-12 and 0W-16) in unaltered and artificially aged form. An additional fully formulated off-the-shelf engine oil (SAE 0W-20) was also aged and analyzed as reference. Oil samples were artificially aged in a custom rig, to simulate long-term in-engine use through thermal cycling at 180 °C. Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy of the lubricant samples highlighted a depletion of zinc dialkyl-ditiophosphate antiwear additives in all cases, which is comparable to a selected in-service oil. Oxidation was also measurable, albeit lower compared to the in-service sample. Averaged friction coefficients showed a ranking of aged 0W-12 < aged 0W-16 < unaltered 0W-12 < unaltered 0W-16. A decrease in surface roughness was experienced with aged oil samples, whereas unaltered 0W-16 oil produced an unexpected transition in the wear phenomenon and resulted in severe wear.

Analysis of a hidromechanical system's stability with a simple method

No authors available

Publication Name: Proceedings of the Mini Conference on Vehicle System Dynamics, Identification and Anomalies

Publication Date: 1998-12-01

Volume:

Issue:

Page Range: 283-294

Description:

Compact built hydraulic power steering with closed center valve is very sensitive for instability. The introduced method divide the nonlinear second order differential equation system into a linear and a non linear part. Applicating the Perron's theorem for the divided equation system it is possible to find such parameter's values which do not make the system instable.

Does supplier management matter for supply chain performance? Evidence from the textile industry

Publication Name: Industria Textila

Publication Date: 2024-01-01

Volume: 75

Issue: 6

Page Range: 676-684

Description:

This study examines the impact of long-term relationships and vendor-managed inventory on supply chain performance and the mediating role of information sharing in Pakistan’s textile industry. For testing the proposed hypotheses of the present study, the primary data was gathered with the help of a questionnaire from past studies via a convenience sampling strategy. Three hundred fifty questionnaires were distributed among the textile industry through the HR department of the concerned firm. However, only 330 cases were considered for data analysis after data clearing in SPSS version 25. Hence, the response rate is 94%. The data were analysed using SEM in Smart-PLS version 3. The results of hypothesis testing indicated the direct effect of long-term relationships and vendor-managed inventory, which was found to have a positive and significant impact on information sharing and supply chain performance in Pakistan’s textile industry. Furthermore, the mediating effect of information technology between long-term relationships and vendor-managed inventory revealed a partial mediation effect on supply chain performance. The policymakers and top management of concerned firms should consider these variables for future strategies to get better supply chain performance.

Test on railway vehicle-runway dynamic system for stress analysis of a carriage's body

No authors available

Publication Name: Proceedings of the Mini Conference on Vehicle System Dynamics, Identification and Anomalies

Publication Date: 1998-12-01

Volume:

Issue:

Page Range: 115-122

Description:

Damages at vehicle bodies required an analysis to qualify the vehicle-runway system. The aim of the analysis is to declare critical effects and show the possible and necessary measurements. The running tests on the vehicle had many objects. Effects of waveform could be seen in the spectral density functions for vehicles running on runway with waved rail wearing. Effects of waveforms were found to be little on the mechanical stresses of vehicle body. The curve of the runway has major effect on the values of the mechanical stresses.

Test calculation for logic and short-circuit faults in digital circuits

Publication Name: Ines 2012 IEEE 16th International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems Proceedings

Publication Date: 2012-10-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 121-124

Description:

In the first part, the paper presents a test calculation principle which serves for producing tests of logic faults in digital circuits. The name of the principle is composite justification. The considered fault model includes stuck-at-0/1 logic faults. Both single and multiple faults are included. In this paper only combinational logic is taken into consideration. The computations are performed at the gate level. In the second part of the paper, the composite justification is extended to an other fault class, namely, short-circuit faults. A short circuit is an erroneous galvanic coupling between two circuit lines. The calculation principle is comparatively simple. It is based only on successive line-value justification, and it yields an opportunity to be realized by an efficient computer program. © 2012 IEEE.
