Publication Name: Cando EPE 2019 Proceedings IEEE 2nd International Conference and Workshop in Obuda on Electrical and Power Engineering

Publication Date: 2019-11-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 67-71

Description:

The purpose of a Multiphysics Analysis is the modeling of complex physical systems where different kinds of physical effects act simultaneously. We would like to predict the behavior of a machine with the least number of neglected effects. Nowadays more Finite Element Method (FEM) based simulation software are readily available to study the physics of an electrical machine. Although, there are no standardized solutions that would fit every kind of electric motor analysis. In this paper we will present a method how to go through step-by-step on the different physical phenomena of an electrical machine and therefore analyze the different design and working aspects.

Effect of gibberellins on growth and biochemical constituents in Chlorella minutissima (Trebouxiophyceae)

Publication Name: South African Journal of Botany

Publication Date: 2019-11-01

Volume: 126

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 92-98

Description:

A hormonal network regulates growth processes and stress responses in vascular plants. There is evidence for a similar hormonal network in microalgae. This study investigated the effect of exogenous gibberellins (GAs) on Chlorella minutissima Fott et Nováková growth and biochemical composition. Two bioactive GAs i.e. GA3 and GA4 were applied at 10−8–10−5 M. Growth was monitored until cultures were harvested on day 7 when in an exponential growth phase. Primary metabolites (protein, chlorophyll and carotenoids) were quantified and endogenous GAs and phenolic acids were identified and quantified. GA3 had little beneficial effect on growth in C. minutissima while GA4 was inhibitory. GA application had little effect on the protein, chlorophyll and total carotenoid content. Analysis of the GA content suggested that GA3 was not readily taken up by the cells while GA4 was absorbed but not further metabolised. This high accumulation of GA4 could account for its inhibitory effect. Three phenolics acids were detected in C. minutissima i.e. p-hydroxybenzoic acid > salicylic acid > protocatechuic acid. Their concentrations were not affected by GA treatments or GA-type. The physiological role of GAs in microalgae is still unclear and further studies are required to gain clearer insight into uptake rates, metabolism and function.

TP-based Control of the Crane Model

Publication Name: Gpmc 2019 1st IEEE International Conference on Gridding and Polytope Based Modeling and Control Proceedings

Publication Date: 2019-11-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 9-12

Description:

Tensor product based model representation is a numerical technique to approximate the behavior of nonlinear systems. Based on the tensor product transformation a linear matrix inequality based controller design scheme can be applied efficiently. This framework is presented in the paper through the model of gantry crane.

Economical Aspects of UX Design and Development

Publication Name: 10th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2019 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2019-10-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 211-214

Description:

It is an interesting phenomenon that the term and importance of User Experience (UX) has been widely recognized and accepted in the CogInfoCom community, however the economic aspects, connections and consequences is not really being researched. Many researches confirm that good UX is good for business, but the conviction of software investment decision makers should be based on financial calculation findings. This paper attempts to highlight and analyze the monetary sides of different business software developments related to UX.

A multi-purpose virtual laboratory with interactive knowledge integration

Publication Name: 10th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2019 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2019-10-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 529-532

Description:

This paper presents the concept of multi-purpose virtual laboratories, a new way to design and utilize 3D virtual learning environments in higher education. The paper introduces the current state of the adoption of new virtual learning environments and proposes a new design methodology in order to improve the quality, user experience and didactic potential of virtual laboratories. To demonstrate the introduced concepts, a practical example is also presented.

CT-based tests and finite element simulation for failure analysis of syntactic foams

Publication Name: Engineering Failure Analysis

Publication Date: 2019-10-01

Volume: 104

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 371-378

Description:

A unique compression test was carried out on aluminium matrix syntactic foams combined with X-ray micro CT structure analysis, in order to obtain a full reconstruction of the failure process of syntactic foams. The compression test was interrupted in small compression steps and CT imaging was performed after each interruption. As a result of the reconstruction different regions of the failure process were defined. A characteristic shear plane was found as the typical deterioration place. A CAD model was generated from the CT-base reconstruction of the specimen and a finite element algorithm was run on the CAD model. It was computed from the mechanical stress distribution that the plane, having been fitted to the weakest points of the structure, is identical to the characteristic shear plane. As our results indicate, using a finite element analysis on a CT-based reconstructed model is one way to prognosticate the deterioration of a structure.

The pedagogical Project of Education for Sustainable Development in 3D virtual space

Publication Name: 10th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications Coginfocom 2019 Proceedings

Publication Date: 2019-10-01

Volume: Unknown

Issue: Unknown

Page Range: 539-544

Description:

Nowadays there is no day without some thought-provoking, shocking news about the global climate crisis. Although efforts to achieve environmental education and sustainable development have been present since the 1970s, today we see that an increasing emphasis is put on them not only in the scientific world but also in our daily lives. One of the biggest challenges nowadays is the effective implementation of sustainability education in the school system. In the process of this, the formation of environmentally conscious behavior of young people participating in education and the development of a sense of responsibility are central objectives. We have a guiding role in this during teacher training. It is necessary to equip prospective teachers for the most important activities of environmental education and to make them acquire the effective environmental education methods necessary for successful work. All this in a way that, in addition to direct nature experiences, we adjust to the needs and interests of the digital generation. The study presents a sustainability pedagogical project realized in teacher education by using 3D VR space.

Description:

The paper deals with the mediumship and the retro-cognitive and precognitive patterns in identification of collective individuation. We attend to show the relationships between the artistic visions (pictures) of Csontváry the Hungarian genius. We continue the discussion with the general hidden mystical theological system of the picture11This paper is dedicated to the blessed memory of Dr. Rezsö Pertorini and Dr. Anthony Storr. Thanks for the inspiration to Dr. Katalin Gellér.
