Hungary - situating in the centre of the continent - is one of the most loaded transit country in Europe. There are many TEN-T corridors crossing the country. The external cost coming from the heavy road transport is very high. On the other hand there are other eco-friendly transport modes available like railway or inland navigation. In the general approach navigation is an untrustworthy technology and has uncertain capacity. The present study tries to change this opinion bringing new turn of mind. There are more way to define the waterway capacity. Because of the dynamic hydrological changes the cross-section has no stability, like road or railway cross-section. The paper shows these differences and deals with ,theoretical and planned capacity ,capacity factors ,flexibility analysis ,question of measure units ,time factor. Numerical simulation of boundary value radiative tri-hybrid nanofluid flow subject to exponential heat source/sink past a porous stretching surface

The energy and mass transference through ternary nanofluid (TNF) over a stretching spinning sheet is estimated in the present study. The TNF has been prepared by the distribution of magnesium oxide (MgO), titanium dioxide (TiO2), and cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) nanoparticles (NPs) in water. The study of the TNF over a rotating stretching sheet can be directly used in optimizing the performance of solar thermal collector, high-power electronics cooling, and aerospace heat shields. Such flow has a vital role in the optimization of lubrication processes and nuclear reactor cooling in which high thermal conductivity and centrifugal flow manipulation is needed. The TNF flow has been calculated under the consequence of mixed convection, thermal radiation, constant and exponential heat source/sink, magnetic field, and porous medium. The flow scenario is mathematically stated in the form of a nonlinear system of PDEs (partial differential equations). The set of PDEs is transfigured into the non-dimensional system of ODEs (ordinary differential equations), by means of the similarity variables. The results are obtained through the bvp4c code (Matlab built-in package). The percent error between present and published study at Pr =5.0 is 0.0034541%, which ensure the accuracy of the proposed model and applied methodology. The energy transfer rate drops by up to 20.4049%, 25.5465% and 32.4766% by varying the exponential heat source/sink factor from -1.0 t0 1.0 in case of nano, hybrid and ternary nanofluid respectively. The transfer rate enhances up to 52.7911% and 51.2236% by varying heat radiation and Dufour number from 1.0 to 3.0 and 1.5 to 3.5 in case of THNF, respectively.

Risk of pneumonia during adalimumab therapy

Description:

Bridging steroid therapy given in addition to adalimumab-methotrexate dual therapy which was introduced for autoimmune diseases notably contributes to the increased risk of pneumonia. Authors review the international literature and evaluate the incidence of pneumonia caused by adalimumab monotherapy, adalimumab-methotrexate dual therapy, and adalimumab-methotrexate-steroid triple combination therapy, as well as steroid tapering protocols. They go into the importance of effective adalimumab levels recommended for each clinical picture and the measurement of anti-adalimumab antibodies, which is part of the precision medicine for autoimmune diseases. These laboratory tests help to identify the causes of steroid dependence and show the direction how to achieve a steroid-free status, thereby the risk of pneumonia in treated patients could be reduced. Highly toughened blends of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and natural rubber (NR) for FDM-based 3D printing applications: The effect of composition and infill pattern

In this study, the suitability of natural rubber (NR) toughened poly(lactic acid) (PLA)-based blends were investigated for additive manufacturing applications. Filaments for fused deposition modeling (FDM) were prepared with an NR concentration of 0 … 20 wt% using a twin-screw extruder. Subsequently, specimens were fabricated with a desktop 3D printer machine working on FDM principles. Besides the composition of PLA/NR blends, the effect of infill orientation was also analyzed by preparing two sets of specimens: i) one set prepared with an alternating raster angle of ±45° (3DGRID) and ii) another one with a linear infill parallel to the length of the specimens (3DPAR). Quasi-static and dynamic mechanical properties, morphology and thermal characteristics of the fabricated specimens were investigated. The tensile tests revealed that the presence of NR effectively enhances the ductility of PLA filaments, however, the achieved improvement was highly dependent on the applied infill pattern. Samples prepared using the 3DPAR infill exhibited an excellent deformability when paired with NR. On the other hand, the ones fabricated with the 3DGRID technique only showed a marginal improvement in elongation. Similarly, the Charpy impact tests indicated an outstanding impact resistance of NR-toughened 3DPAR specimens, while the 3DGRID types showed little to no improvement. Scanning electron microscopic analysis revealed a weaker interlayer adhesion in the specimens containing NR, which greatly contributed to the discrepancies observed between the mechanical properties of the samples prepared with different infill. The differential scanning calorimetry revealed an almost completely amorphous structure of 3D printed PLA due to the quite rapid cooling characteristic of the FDM technique, which was not affected by the embedded NR component.

Companies’ ESG performance under soft and hard regulation environment

The growing integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors into corporate decision-making and investment strategies has heightened the need for reliable and comparable ESG ratings. However, substantial divergence across rating agencies—driven by inconsistent methodologies, weighting schemes, and disclosure practices—poses challenges for investors, firms, and regulators. Addressing a key gap in the literature, this study investigates how regulatory environments influence ESG rating divergence by comparing hard, soft, and unregulated frameworks across five major economies: the United States, China, Japan, Germany, and India. ESG ratings were collected from Sustainalytics, S&P Global, and Refinitiv for the top 50 publicly listed companies in each country. The divergence was measured using absolute score differences between agencies, and statistical tests and cluster analysis were conducted to evaluate the impact of regulation on rating consistency. The results indicate that countries with strong, mandatory ESG disclosure regimes—such as Germany's CSRD and India’s BRSR—exhibit significantly lower levels of rating divergence, while unregulated markets like the USA and China display the highest discrepancies. Notably, Japan’s soft-law approach achieves alignment levels comparable to those of hard-law environments, emphasizing the role of regulatory enforcement. These findings reinforce both signaling and agency theories by demonstrating how regulatory oversight and transparency reduce information asymmetry and promote stakeholder trust. The study highlights the importance of direct supervision of ESG rating agencies and supports global harmonization of ESG disclosure standards as a means to enhance market efficiency and comparability.

Influence of class A40 autonomous truck on rutting and fatigue cracking

Effects of autonomous trucks' different lateral wander modes have been analyzed in this research using a dload subroutine. Two lateral wander modes, a zero-wander mode in which a truck is programmed to follow a predetermined wheel path without any lateral movement and a uniform wander mode, where the truck uniformly distributes itself along the lateral width of the lane, are used. European class A40 truck has been modeled in ABAQUS code. Results show that fatigue life of pavement increases by 1.45 times if a uniform wander mode is used, which corresponds to a decrease in fatigue life of 14 months if a zero-wander mode is used. In case of rutting progression, 40% acceleration of rutting happens under a zero-wander mode. In case of uniform wander mode, rut depth decreases by 1.25 times against the zero-wander mode.

The service doctrine: How intelligence mandates shape national cybersecurity ecosystems?

This study provides a structured comparative analysis of how democratic and authoritarian regimes integrate cybersecurity into their national security architectures, with particular attention to the severely under-researched Central-Eastern European EU member states (Hungary and Slovakia). Using a most-different-systems design, the article contrasts the multi-stakeholder, cooperative model of a major rule-of-law democracy (United States) with the centralized, digital-sovereignty-driven approaches of three major authoritarian powers (China, Russia, Iran) and two smaller EU members. In addition to institutional structures and oversight mechanisms, the analysis explicitly incorporates public trust dynamics as a critical variable of cybersecurity resilience. Findings show that democratic systems generate higher legitimacy but slower operational tempo, whereas authoritarian models achieve rapid capability integration at the expense of societal trust and private-sector autonomy. In the Central-Eastern European cases, the interplay of NIS2 obligations and pronounced centralizing tendencies produces distinctive governance patterns that deviate from both the classic “cooperating cyberfare state” and the “smart total-control” archetypes. The study demonstrates that sustained public trust—fostered through transparent communication, accountable institutions and meaningful societal inclusion—acts as a force multiplier for cybersecurity resilience across all regime types. By filling three identified gaps (small EU member states, cross-regime empirical depth, and public-trust integration), the article advances both the comparative politics of cybersecurity governance and practical policy recommendations for strengthening transatlantic and intra-EU cyber resilience.

This study investigates the potential of the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) in the rural Szigetköz region in North-Western Hungary, a cross-border area between the Danube and the Moson Danube with significant natural resources. The research examines the situation of the CCIs to answer the following question: What are the latent potentials of the CCI area in the region? The study aims first to present the meaning and importance of the concept of CCI in rural and regional development, then assess the importance of CCI through focus group discussions with the stakeholders of the CCI, and finally, a case study of the region, which is a civil association. As a result of the research, the region needs to rely on several pillars, e.g., for the city of Győr to rely on, besides the automotive industry, the creative economy. The paper concludes with suggestions and further research directions for the regional development of CCIs in rural areas.

It is generally difficult to carry out and measure breaking moments precisely in the mNm range. Instead of traditional methods using brake and additional mechanical elements to determine torque vs. angular velocity characteristics of micro-motors this paper suggest a new procedure based on purely electrical measurements. Theoretical background of the measuring procedure is discussed detailed. The suggested method is shown in the case of a RF300E DC micro-motor. © 2007 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
