Node Point Optimization for Local Trajectory Planners based on Human Preferences

There is an increased number of Driver Assistance systems on the field, therefore the need of having naturalistic behavior of these functions is increasing. In our work the trajectory planning task is analyzed. A clothoid-based local trajectory planning algorithm is proposed, which relies on node points within the look ahead distance. The node point distances were optimized to yield a global trajectory which is close to the human drivers' path. Real driving data was used as the optimization reference. As a result of the optimization, we were able to determine a characteristic node point distance set which fits all drivers. We have also shown that three node points within a look ahead distance of 140 m are sufficient to describe the drivers' trajectory. Later this result will serve as a basis to build a driver model which calculates the lateral coordinates of the node points.

The creation of the initial population is an essential part of the population based evolutionary algorithms. An appropriate initial population could lead to much faster convergence speed; in contrast, an inappropriate initial population could even cause getting stuck in a local optimum. In this paper, we will propose a new efficient heuristic method to create initial individuals for the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), which we will call Circle Group Heuristic (CGH). The results show that CGH creates better tours compared with other well-known heuristic tour construction methods.

The study examines the spectrum of the thermal and wellness clusters related to water-based health tourism in Hungary. The research is looking for an answer regarding the effects of the organization in clusters from the point of view economic, social and cultural in the thermal baths sector. In this sense, literary research and processing were carried out, and mixed-type professional interviews were conducted. Bearing in mind the unexplored dimensions of thermal clusters in Hungary, the research highlights three areas of action: proactivity, economic incorporation and innovation. The results of these three key defined potentials and the discovery of innovation reserves are the ones that will be addressed primarily in the future. These steps boost health tourism and associated activities. The clusters operating in the field, primarily Pannon Thermal Cluster—PANTERM, have hidden reserves and untapped potentials within the operational frames of the cluster organization. The discovery of the potential in the clusters may drive innovation.

The present study aims to examine the cooperation related to the development of international copyright law from the perspective of the Magyar Színpadi Szerzők Egyesülete (MSSE, Hungarian Playwrights’ Association). The association, founded in 1904, played an outstanding role in dealing with the shortcomings of Hungarian copyright law and the protection of the moral and financial interests of Hungarian playwrights/stage authors. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to present the Association’s contribution to various milestones of the international copyright field, such as the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and the founding of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC). The annual conferences of the world organization, especially the 1930 Budapest International Congress of Authors, an important event of Hungarian cultural diplomacy, shall also be presented in the study. Further aims of the study include shedding light on how national and international copyright cooperation developed in the first half of the 20th century.

Increasing traffic volumes leads to changes in traffic conditions, especially at intersections. These changes affect the ability of Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs) such as pedestrians and bicyclists to cross the road safely, especially at un-signalized crossings (without traffic lights), where many road users are conflicting at the same point of the road and neglecting 'in some cases' the priority issue. Although the emphasis on pedestrian safety has recently increased, there is still a need to analyze the causal factors of VRUs accidents and define their relationship to road design characteristics. This paper presents a study bout vehicle – pedestrian and bicyclist conflicts analysis using Swedish conflict technique at three un-signalized pedestrian crossings in the city of Győr-Hungary, where some pedestrian accidents were happened between 2014 and 2018, and reported based on accidents database in Hungary. The aim is to analyse vehicle-pedestrian and bicyclist interactions, and evaluate the severity of conflicts with the help of the Swedish technique graph. The findings concluded that there is a compatibility between Swedish conflict technique and accident records with regard to conflicts severity and the probability of accidents occurrence.

As time passes and technology becomes more impressive, more ways exist to process, store and visualise data, contributing to data analytics' power. The most common process is to collect data from different sources and store it in some file format. Some process then passes the acquired information to a data warehouse where the data can be stored and queried. Once the right data and tables have been selected, they are imported and exported to a visualisation system, where reports can be generated from the available information. All that remains is to create a custom website where the reports can be displayed. In this paper, we work with data related to petrol, diesel, and electric vehicles. The dataset was synthetically generated using a simulation model developed by the author to reflect realistic automotive scenarios. An ETL process will import the data into the data warehouse, which will be stored for subsequent analysis. The information is then exported from the data warehouse to be processed by the visualisation program and used to make statements. This process aims to demonstrate how the values derived from the generated data transition from their raw form to a visualised state. Given the current global transformation of the automotive industry, this topic was selected due to its relevance and the widespread impact of these changes. The study aims to generate various analytical statements, such as the average engine power across different car brands or the average fuel consumption per 100 kilometres for specific vehicle types.

FinTech banking solutions offer a valuable set of technological tools that can be used to improve sustainability. Therefore, consumer acceptance and applicability of FinTech solutions is an important issue, especially among Generation Z, as this age group represents a relevant segment of future consumers. According to studies, men have a more positive attitude towards technology adoption than women. It is important to understand the mindset of women in this context, and this paper focuses on them to analyse the key determinants of FinTech service usage. Therefore, the objective of this analysis is to examine the attitudes of Generation Z women in Hungary by assessing the factors that influence their use of FinTech services. The novelty of the analysis lies in the selected population, as women are less likely than their male counterparts to have digital skills in a professional capacity. This may be reflected in their openness to financial technology solutions. The analysis is based on a questionnaire due to its sociological dimension, with a prospective sample of university students from Győr. The methodology is based on factor analysis, which is capable of distinguishing the factors that influence the use of FinTech services based on a statistical analysis of variables (Likert scale). The results show that there are several factors influencing women's FinTech usage habits, which service providers should pay attention to. The findings of the current study can help FinTech companies shape their marketing and service strategies to improve their ability to reach and retain potential and existing female customers.

Effect of Fermented Feed on Growth Performance and Gut Health of Broilers: A Review

The fermented feed used in broiler production has gained significant attention for its potential to improve growth performance, enhance gut health, and modulate gut microbiota. This review synthesized findings on the effects of both solid and liquid fermented feed in broilers. Fermentation processes enhance nutrient bioavailability; reduce anti-nutritional factors; and generate beneficial metabolites, such as short-chain fatty acids, which contribute to gut health. Incorporating fermented feed in broiler diets has been shown to improve weight gain, the feed conversion ratio, and nutrient absorption by promoting favorable gut morphology changes, including an increased villus height and villus height-to-crypt depth ratios. Additionally, fermented feed fosters a beneficial microbial environment by increasing lactic acid bacteria populations while reducing pathogenic microbes. Fermentation also modulates gut immunity by regulating cytokine production and stimulating immune cell activity. However, challenges such as inconsistent effects on feed intake and growth during the early production stages underscore the need for optimizing fermentation protocols tailored to broiler production systems. Although the implementation of liquid fermented feed presents logistical challenges, research suggests it can significantly improve feed digestibility. Advances in precision fermentation techniques and multi-strain inoculant use hold promise for further improving fermented feed efficacy. Future research should focus on assessing the long-term impacts, economic viability, and environmental sustainability of fermented feed in commercial poultry systems. Overall, fermented feed offers a promising strategy to enhance productivity and sustainability in broiler farming while reducing the reliance on conventional feed additives. This review reflects the body of knowledge at the time of writing.
