This study investigates how changes in energy prices, interest rates, and investment costs impact the Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of three alternative energy projects: a solar PV (photovoltaic) system, a woodchip-fired boiler, and a heat pump system. Rather than comparing these projects directly, the paper aims to illustrate how returns on alternative energy investments have evolved under economic conditions specific to Hungary. The central focus of this study is to highlight the economic rationality of postponement decisions which is one of the most adverse effects of unpredictability, in addition to the numerous inhibiting factors listed in the professional literature. In conclusion, this study highlights the inherent risks in making investment decisions at any single time for projects expected to yield returns over the long term, emphasising the importance of evaluating the main factors that affect potential returns. In all three projects, the application of random shocks shows that the probability of a negative net present value, i.e. non-return on project expenditure, is greater than 55%. Through the case studies presented, the study shows that the state has a role to play in reducing risk by providing investment subsidies, tax incentives, favourable fixed-rate credit schemes and a predictable regulatory environment.

Background: This study aims to empirically test a comprehensive interrelationship between green supply chain management (GSCM), green technology innovation (GTI), waste management (WM), big data analytics capability powered by artificial intelligence (BDAC-AI), and their collective impact on sustainable performance (SP) in organizational contexts. Methods: This study was conducted in Pakistan’s food processing sector. The respondents included 495 managers working in the food processing industry. A structural equation modelling (SEM) approach is used to examine direct and indirect relationships between the variables. The originality of this study lies in integration of the technology acceptance model (TAM) and dynamic capability theory (DCT) to understand sustainable practices in the context of the provided model. Results: This study highlights that GSCM, GTI, WM, and BDAC-AI have positive, strong, and direct impacts on SP. Furthermore, GTI and WM only partially mediate the link between GSCM and SP, whereas the two moderate the link. In addition, BDAC-AI had a moderating effect on the relationship between GTI and SP. This study has managerial implications, including strategies that involve the use of theoretical frameworks for technological acceptance and dynamic capabilities to support sustainable initiatives. However, it is worth noting that the findings provide a practical contingency for managers and businesses interested in implementing green studies effectively, improving technologies, and strengthening sustainable performance capabilities. Conclusions: The study extends the literature by establishing a model for operationalizing GSCM in the food processing sector. Furthermore, it adds value in that it first integrates TAM and DCT to explain sustainable operations and their impact on organizations. Furthermore, it extends the existing literature by establishing a relationship between GSCM and SC. It offers a model through which GSCM can be operationalized in the context of the FS sector.

Crude oil Price forecasting: Leveraging machine learning for global economic stability

The volatility of the energy market, particularly crude oil, significantly impacts macroeconomic indices, such as inflation, economic growth, currency exchange rates, and trade balances. Accurate crude oil price forecasting is crucial to risk management and global economic stability. This study examines various models, including GARCH (1,1), Vanilla LSTM, GARCH (1,1) LSTM, and GARCH (1,1) GRU, to predict Brent crude oil prices using different time frequencies and sample periods. The LSTM and GARCH (1,1)-GRU hybrid models showed superior performance, with LSTM slightly better in predictive accuracy and GARCH (1,1)-GRU in minimizing squared errors. These findings emphasize the importance of precise crude oil price forecasting for the global energy market and manufacturing sectors that rely on crude oil prices. Accurate forecasting helps ensure economic sustainability and stability and prevents disruptions to production and distribution chains in both developed and emerging economies. Policymakers may choose to implement energy security measures in response to the significant impact of crude oil price volatility on the macroeconomic indicators. These measures could include maintaining strategic reserves, diversifying energy sources, and decreasing the dependence on volatile oil markets. By doing so, a country's ability to handle oil price fluctuations and ensure a stable energy supply can be enhanced.

Background: Creativity, innovation, and learning behaviour are essential in accomplishing a competitive edge and the prerequisite of leadership in enhancing employee creativity and organisational growth. However, it is still unclear how team creativity and leadership are related. Objective: The research evaluates the effects spiritual leadership has on employee creativity, together with green human resource management (GHRM) practices within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The proposed framework explains the pathways through which spiritual leadership creates green workplaces that both engage employees and drive sustainable organisational expansion. Methodology: The study employed qualitative approach to attain its aim. The researchers collected data from 21 SME employees while the collected data were analysed using thematic analysis done with N-Vivo 14. Results: The outcomes of this research indicate that spiritual leadership encourages employee creativity and green HRM practices. This eventually enhances organisational performance and staff creativity, providing meaningful information to companies looking to elevate sustainability and overall performance. Conclusion: Leadership is an important requirement for effective management of small and medium scale enterprises. Unique Contribution: The outcomes present a new perspective on the relationship between spiritual leadership and employee results, escalating the value of creative strategies that help team members' personal and professional development. Key Recommendation: All organizational strategies and procedures must include environmental sustainability to create a unified HRM strategy. Leaders are important in advancing this integration by supporting eco-friendly projects and improving an environment that stimulates employee involvement and innovation.

An improved feature extraction method has been developed for classification and identification of time series, in case of the number of the experiments are considerably less than that of the samples in time series. The method based on the subband analysis of the wavelet transformation of the time signals, provides lower dimension feature vectors as well as much more robust kernel-based classifier than the traditional wavelet-based feature extraction method does. The application of this technique is illustrated by the classification of cerebral blood flow oscillation using support vector classifier with Gaussian kernel. The computations were carried out with Mathematica 5.1 and its Wavelet Application.

In this digital era, the adoption of digital technologies is transforming business processes and helping organizations to achieve goals both domestically and globally. The role of digital businesses' communication in the B2B supply chain has become increasingly extensive. Digital technologies are helping companies to streamline their transactions more safely, enhance collaboration, and build trust among partners. Digital technology tools help businesses to improve sustainability by enhancing visibility, enabling real-time information, and facilitating product tracking throughout the entire supply chain. Earlier research explored digital tools in supply chains, but there is limited research on how these tools support business communication in supply chain sustainability. The study addresses this gap by conducting a systematic literature review of 102 journal papers from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Out of the 732 articles initially screened, 102 were chosen, which is a selection rate of 13.9 %. The data show that the number of publications rose by more than 60 % between 2022 and 2024. This shows that audience interest is being increased in using digitalization to make supply chains sustainable. This paper outlines how digital technologies such as blockchain, ERP, cloud, and RFID help industries reach digital sustainability. The study has also presented real-world case studies of Walmart and Unilever that explain the importance of digitalization in the supply chain. This review suggests a noticeable increase in research on implementing digital tools in sustainable supply chain processes.

The knowledge of a vehicle's center of gravity (COG) and moment of inertia (MOI) are important from vehicle dynamic and comfort points of view. These parameters can be determined from the CAD model of the vehicle, however, manufacturing inaccuracies and additional elements can modify the values, and experimental validation can be necessary. The determination of COG (and even MOI) can be carried out using classical physical methods, but a more convenient and sophisticated method is offered based on dynamic testing data. The method is known and accessible even in commercial testing software, but a clear recommendation for the optimal input data and the expected accuracy is still not available. The purpose of this study is to define the influencing factors of the measurement and quantify their effect. The introduced method is based on the evaluation of the frequency response functions in the mass-line region. Input data were obtained by using impulse hammer excitation and accelerometers for measuring the response of the structure. The measurements and the evaluations were performed in Siemens LMS Test.Lab software using Rigid Body Calculator module. The results of the dynamic measurement are compared to CAD data and to the COG value got from simple static measurement.
